Grading

Your grade will be primarily based on the poster presentation and abstract. Also the learning diaries can impact the grade. The grading is based on:

• your understanding on the subject,
• depth of analysis, justifying your conclusions, and
• meaningfullness of your scoping of the topic

This translates to:

1. Just copy pasting randomly related stuff on the poster and reading that to the audience.
2. A nice set of information, but no real analysis or the analysis is very obscure.
3. A basic performance: the student has tired to analyze the subject and understand the relationship between the different parts, but the conclusions are still somewhat wrong or lacking in depth.
4. A good poster and presentation delivering a good amount of relevant information. The technical issues are analyzed and interpreted. Conclusions are still shaky and the student can not defend them.
5. An excellent poster, poster presentation, and abstract providing a lot of insightful information and showing that the student really understands the issue and the relations; conclusions can be justified reasonably.

The teacher will give the grade as he sees fit, the grade suggestions on the learning diaries are to verify his thinking.

Dropping from the course

If you decide to drop the course for some reason, please tell the teacher immediately.
