Seminar on Internetworking

Signing up for the course

Students sign up for the course and choose their topics by sending e-mail to iwork@tml.hut.fi (see more info below).

Additionally, to get your information into our database, please fill out this form. If you've already attended some course at the TML, your information is probably already in our database, and you only have to fill in your student number. Otherwise, you'll be presented a new form, where you can fill in the rest (e-mail, department,...). After filling out this form, you'll receive an e-mail telling you that the sign-up has succeeded. This does not yet mean that you have been accepted to the course - it just means that your info came through.

In the E-mail should be mentioned:

You can choose your topic among those suggested or create one of your own. The topic should be related to the main topic of the course.

Since the number of students on this course is limited, you should tell in the e-mail, what kind of knowledge you have on the area/topic which you prefer. Tell also what your general knowledge on the field is - if you have done the prerequisite courses and otherwise, what comparable knowledge you have achieved through other studies or your work.

Also tell how long you have been studying, to what entity this course belongs (e.g. your major or your minor) and any other reasons why you want to take this course this year.

If you don't write any motivation for taking this course, your application will be along the first to be rejected. Unfortunately, there won't be enough topics and tutors for everyone.

The topics will be confirmed a few days after the registration has ended. You will get the confirmation by e-mail.

Follow the schedule.
