We apologize for any false expectations or other harm that this may have caused to you. We also updated feedback givers around midnight. Despite the tone of the news, we wish you a merry christmas and a delightful start for the year 2012!

Dear students, This is a reminder for mandatory course feedback. If you have already done this, please skip this message. According to the policy of the department, the course feedback is mandatory for each student. Please provide the feedback otherwise we cannot give you final grade for this course. 13 Dec 11 Final exam has to be done individually
Dear students, This is a clarification that the final exam of this course has to be completed individually, no group work is allowed.
13 Dec 11 NB: Instructions for the exam
Please DO NOT add your exam file to the group directory. In order to maintain privacy between the students and help our own work, we have created student-specific directories to the SVN repository for submitting the exam. Also the students that completed their assignments alone will need to follow these instructions. To make sure everyone gets this message, we will not let you in to the repository until 18:00 EET today. You will need to checkout the new directory ("svn checkout"). Replace the end from your group SVN directory URL as follows: group assignments: /group{number}/ exams: /exams/{student_number}/ The possible letters in the student number are in uppercase. The same username and password will work as with the group directory checkout. A simple misunderstanding caused our failure to conduct this in any more clever way. We still want to stick to using SVN, as it brings loads of benefits to the course staff and should be a basic skill for our targeted student group anyway. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the anonymous student that pointed out the issue.
10 Dec 11 Final exam sheet has been published

21 Oct 11 Assignment 1 Reception time and bootstrap node upgraded
Dear students, There will be a reception time for Assignment 1, which is 25 OCT, from 9:00 - 11:00 and 12:00 - 16:00. The location is playroom (A120), CS building. This is not a mandatory session and you can just come and ask if you have problems on the assignment 1. Another news is that we upgrade the bootstrap node and add several more nodes into the network. Now bootstrap nodes doesn't hold the testkey any more. This change will not affect your application to find the value. However, if you want to achieve higher score, you should consider the same situation, that is how to handle the QUERY and QUERY_HIT messages when your are an intermediate node.
