Handover

The handover can be carried out in several ways:

1. Intracell handover

• Mobile unit is switched from one channel to another within the cell area.

2. BTS-BTS handover

• Mobile unit is switched from one Base Tranceiver Station to another under the control of the same Base Station Controller.
