Integrated Services
The Integrated Services (IntServ) working group of the IETF was started to explore and develop the capability of packet networks to support Integrated Services, such as the transport of audio, video, real-time, and classical data traffic, within a single internetwork infrastructure
The Integrated Services Architecture is defined in RFC-1633 (June 1994)
RFC-2212 ”Specification of Guaranteed Quality of Service” (September, 1997) defines a standards track protocol for end-to-end quality of service in IP networks
The work is closely coupled with that of the RSVP working group
