MSC-A (Controlling MSC)

• The MSC which first established the radio connection to or from

a mobile station for mobile terminating or originating calls

respectively.

• This MSC will be the call controlling MSC for the duration of

the call also in cases where a call is handed over to another

MSC.

MSC-B

• The first MSC to which a call is handed over.
