Papers, short papers and posters
The 15th Nordic Conference in Secure IT Systems will take place at Aalto University, Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland, from 27-30 October 2010.
The conference welcomes contributions in the form of papers, short papers, and posters. Since 1996, the Nordsec conferences have brought together computer security researchers and practitioners from around the world, and particularly from the Nordic countries and Northern Europe. The conference focuses on applied IT security and is intended to encourage interaction between academic and industrial research. Student papers and posters, as well as submissions reporting industrial experiences, are particularly encouraged. The proceedings will appear in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
Contributions should reflect original research, developments, studies and practical experience within all areas of IT security. With the theme Security for future networks and services this year's conference will emphasize topics related to on policies, strategies and technologies for protecting security and privacy of network architectures, applications and online services. However, NordSec 2010 welcomes contributions over a broad range of topics in IT security, including, but not limited to, the following areas:

- Hardware and smart card applications

- Intrusion detection
- Language-based techniques for security

Submission Instructions for Authors
Full and short papers
Full papers must not substantially duplicate already-published work, or work submitted in parallel elsewhere. Accepted submissions may not appear in any other conference or workshop that has proceedings. Manuscripts should be formatted using the Springer LNCS format and should not exceed 16 pages in length.
Short papers will not be included in the published proceedings and may summarize work submitted for publication elsewhere. However, selected short papers will be invited for the printed proceedings. Short paper manuscripts should not exceed 6 pages in the Springer LNCS format.
To submit a full or short paper for review, authors must follow the online submission procedure of Springer Online Conference Service. Selection for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings will be based on originality, contribution to the field, and relevance to NordSec. At least one author of each accepted paper must register to NordSec 2010, attend the conference and give a presentation of the paper.
