Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The education given by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering as well as its research activities cover a wide area of topics in Software Technology and their applications. The goal of the Department, both in education and research, is to have practical impact and at the same time to meet high academic standards. Our research projects are carried out in co-operation with both industrial and academic partners. They are often multidisciplinary and constructive. The Department is also responsible for the basic courses of Computer Science and Software Technology given for the whole university.
The Department has three major research groups: Software Technology (SWT), Data Communications Software (DCS) and Software Business and Engineering (Sober IT).
