Zhonghong Ou had his doctoral defense in structured peer-to-peer (P2P) networks on August, 2010 from University of Oulu, Finland. He received his M.Sc degree (2005) in electronic engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), China. His current research interests span the fields of P2P networks, P2PSIP systems, virtualization in cloud computing, and future internet architecture.

Zhonghong Ou was a project manager and research scientist at PCN&CAD center, BUPT (September, 2005-July, 2007). He was a research scientist and participated in the DECICOM project at University of Oulu, Finland (September, 2007-June, 2010). He was a visiting researcher at Internet Real-time (IRT) Lab, Columbia University, NYC, USA (December, 2009-April, 2010).
