Antti Ylä-Jääski, Biography

Antti Ylä-Jääski

Prof Dr.Tech. Antti Ylä-Jääski is a professor for the Data Communications Software since 2002. Antti received his PhD in ETH Zurich 1993. He has worked with Nokia 1994-2004 in several research management positions with focus on future Internet, mobile networks, applications, services and service architectures. He is still also a Research Fellow on Internet Technologies in Nokia Research Center.

The current Data Communications Software major is a very popular study topic in TKK; altogether 284 MSc thesis has been finalised for this major 1998-2007. Antti has supervised over 60 master's thesis during his professorship in TKK after 2002. His current research portfolio includes five projects: "Trustworthy Internet", "Infrastructure for Host Identity Protocol", "Nordic HIP", "OtaSizzle - mobile social media" and "Intelligent Structural Health Monitoring System - sensor networking". The projects always have inbuilt objectives to analyzing future mobile environments, security, services and service architectures which are the core educational areas of this professorship.
